The walk leads through lovely traditional Sherpa villages adorned with impressive Buddhist monuments of stupas and prayer walls. To enter the Sagarmatha National Park, listed as a world heritage site, and then head towards the famous Namche Bazaar. A large village and town, the hub of Khumbu villagers as well as for trekkers. Namche Bazaar is a perfect spot to spend an extra day to support acclimatization before heading towards higher destinations.
After Namche Bazaar, on the scenic trail with climbs to beautiful Tengboche, a beautiful place with a colorful monastery. On reaching Everest base camp, within the towering peaks of Lhotse, Nuptse, Lingtrin, and Pumori. Enjoy the dramatic landscape scenery of Khumbu Ice Falls and Glacier, then head for the next destination.
To reach Gokyo Valley of Lakes via the high Cho-La pass, after a steep climb on top of Kalapathar. For the closest majestic views of Mt. Everest and surrounding giant peaks. After visiting the first part of the highlights, the route diverts from the main trail. To reach the base of Cho-La Pass at Dzongla, for the steep climb to cross the high Cho-La pass.
Although a tough climb, reward you with stunning views of Cholatse, Lobuche East and West peaks with Nirekha peak. After an exciting moment, on completing the tough challenges of crossing the high Cho-La Pass. A long descent to a photogenic valley of lakes at Gokyo, with ample time at Gokyo, to explore its scenic spot. As well as climb to high Gokyo-Ri for a glorious panorama of the world’s four tallest peaks. Include views of Everest, Lhotse, and Cho-Oyu, with Mt. Makalu from Gokyo Valley downhill to Namche Bazaar. The return journey brings you back to Lukla for an exciting flight to Kathmandu. The best times for Everest Base Camp & Gokyo via Cho-La Pass treks are spring, autumn. The high seasons for trekking around the Himalayas. Most days are clear
for views and pleasant walks. The spring season begins from March to May,
most days is pleasant, with glorious views of snow-capped mountain range.
Spring is also the best time for wildflowers, especially the rhododendrons of various species and colors. Makes the whole hills and valley lively and colorful, can get overcast with light rain sometimes. Cold morning and night time above 3,000 m onwards. The next good season is autumn from September to November,
it is also the peak seasons for trekking around the Himalayas.
